Most homeowners hire us to handle the whole project - selection, materials, and professional install start to finish. But if you are handy and want to do the labor yourself, you do not have to source your flooring from a big-box store and figure it out alone. Our DIY-supply option means you buy the material from us and get the same product knowledge and guidance we use on every job we manage.
What DIY-supply includes
- Help choosing the right product for your room, your subfloor, and your budget.
- Accurate quantity calculation so you order enough - with the right waste factor - and not a roomful too much.
- A walk-through of the install steps that go wrong most often: expansion gaps, transitions, underlayment, and end-joint stagger.
- The manufacturer warranty paperwork that comes with the material.
Where DIY makes sense - and where it does not
Click-lock floating floors like LVP and laminate are the most DIY-friendly: no nailing, no glue, no finishing time. Carpet, tile over a waterproofing system, site-finished hardwood, and concrete coatings all reward professional tools and experience, and a mistake on the prep step is expensive to undo. We will tell you honestly which category your project falls into.
Same care, different scope
DIY customers get the same attention as full-install customers - the only difference is who swings the tools. Stop into our Onalaska showroom, look at samples, and we will help you get it right. And if you start a project and decide it is bigger than you want to take on, we are a phone call away.
